
Adrianus Eliasta Sembiring Meliala, M.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. is an expert in the field of criminology and police science. In addition, he is also recorded as a professor in the Department of Criminology at the University of Indonesia. He has served as a member of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia. He is a graduate of the University of Queensland and Manchester Metropolitan University. His previous positions include: Expert Advisor to the Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Advisor to several state agencies, Advisor to donor agencies such as UNDP, IOM, UNICEF, ILO, and JCLEC; Commissioner of the Indonesian National Police Commission; Chairman of the Professors Council of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Indonesia.
